Long story short, I'm moving out on my own finally, by the end of this month. Mostly because I'm getting evicted and my landlord is a chode. But, that's not the reason for this post.
I've realized that I'm the most prodigious packrat.
I've been packing, and I've had so much trouble throwing anything away. So much so, that I haven't. Mom's packing, too, and she keeps setting stuff out for yardsale or to give to my sister, and I see it, reminice about my emotional attachment to it, and put it in the pile of stuff that I'm taking.
I have two boxes of comics. 1/3 of them are Deadpool comics. I have three boxes of books. And an entire box of DVDs. The CDs are going to be hell.
Anyway, the real way this came to a head is a discovery I just made.
See, I have two accordions. Before you ask, no, I don't know how to play them. I planned to get lessons, but never had the money to. Still plan to, someday.
I was pondering taking my big Giulietti MF20 120 bass around to the local antiques dealers and seeing how much I could get for it. It's a beautiful accordion, satin-white with gold accents everywhere, gold sharps, the whole nine. GORGEOUS. The straps aren't much to scream about, but that's hardly important. The point is, it's an Italian-made, piece of art. Giuliettis are the kinds that concert accordionists use, because they have a beautiful, unique sound to them, and it's true. Just the treble is enough to make you weep. Add in the base and you will know there is a God. I love the damn thing.
I finally lugged it out today, along with my little Accordiana 12-bass with its comfy padded straps, and couldn't help but pick them up and play what little I do know. It's been years since I played them, and it felt good. So now, I sit here with the two accordions sitting on my bed, sparkling (at least the Giulietti is) in the fading sunlight, their cases on the floor (the Giulietti has a gator-skin case with red satin on the inside, the Accordiana has what amounts to a very nice cardboard box, lol), and I now can no longer dream of selling either one. Accordion lessons or no, these babies are coming with me. I love them way too much not to.
It doesn't hurt that my dad got me the 12-bass, so that one's never going away.

It's great, though they still haven't changed my gripes about the divas. And apparently you can't level up CAWs without taking each individual one through career mode (supposed to be fixed in a patch by the end of the month), but other than that, it's aces.

I am very glad to hear that my great friend who I am always missing, hehe!! Yeah,I still yet to get SvR'09 for any system because it's been rough times,it's the 1st time I wasn't able to get the game since SvR series ... I want that game!! Yeah, hopefully they do fix that in a patch because that would be murder for those (like myself) who would have to take each character up that way,it would take forever ... but other than that,I hope you continue to enjoy those great features (CAF ... I must GET IT!!!!) ,and as always,I am in touch. ^^
